How Our Fees Are Determined

Our fees are based on:

  • Time allocated for your consultation

  • Clinical expertise and experience of your practitioner

  • Complexity of your presentation, including assessments, treatment, and any exercise or referral components

We regularly review our pricing to ensure it remains fair, competitive, and aligned with industry standards recommended by the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA), Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), and Massage & Myotherapy Australia.

Fairness and Transparency

We believe in fairness for both patients and practitioners.
That means:

  • You will have access to our fee and appointment types to help guide your expectations

  • Longer or more complex consultations are charged accordingly to reflect the additional time and expertise required.

  • There are no hidden fees — we communicate clearly and openly about costs.

  • Our practitioners provide generous, unhurried care, but the correct appointment length and fee must be booked to maintain fairness for everyone.

Payment and Claiming Options

  • Full payment is required at the time of your appointment.

  • Private Health: On-the-spot claiming is available for health funds via HICAPS.

  • Medicare: We can process Medicare claims for eligible Chronic Disease Management (EPC) plans.
    If your referral is invalid or not approved by Medicare, the full private fee applies on the day.

  • Pre-payment may be required for long or extended consultations (45 minutes or longer).

Fee Reviews & Adjustments

At Bowles Health, we regularly review our fee structure to ensure it continues to reflect:

  • Rising operational costs such as rent, utilities, and staffing

  • Increased professional experience and qualifications of our clinicians

  • Alignment with industry benchmarks and regional cost of living

  • Ongoing investment in quality equipment, technology, and patient care systems

Fee reviews generally occur at least annually, or as needed to maintain financial sustainability and service quality.
We aim to provide at least 7 days’ notice before any fee adjustments take effect.
